Great Job Craig

That is one nice Red Brotha! How do you like the performance of your 582L? Going thru the hull with the TX, mine doesn't miss a ping.
I used to have the same set up as far as the Morse Control on the left. My shifter is Still mounted left side but I had to change with the new motor as at WOT it was hitting the plastic slides

Yea Chuck, your console is sweeeet too. My 582 is one awesome dog. I have been using it in a plastic bag filled with water in the bilge. Never loses bottom when running and marks every friggin thing!!! Night before last we were fishing a shoal and I see an orange ball and 5 seconds later I am hooked up to a 46" red!!! I love this thing- As soon as I can figure out how to dry out the area in my bilge where I want it to go , I am siliconing that sucka in !!! By the way- We had 7 reds the last 3 nights from 46 to 49", and 1- 51" black ~90lbs- best part- not the first critter!!!

miles, whenever I had to clean/dry out my bilge in the past . . . I used an industrial vac, paper towels and acetone. Use these and your bilge will be dry in no time.

Excellent work Craig.

Did you get those noise makers over at Lattimer????

I'll be in Wachapreague in late June hoping to head out after some tunas. If the weather doesn't cooperate, will the drum still be around? If not, what's normally biting Bay-side that we could target?

I would image just throwing something bloody into the water would get you some action.

Hey Brian- Last year the red ones were around well into June but they are normally gone by then. Good thing is though that the big cobes should be hot. Let me know if offshore doesnt work out and you can ride and fish the shoals with us. Let me know before you come and I will give you my number. (had cobia to ~90 lbs last year)

I was looking into the 582, did you guys put in the "high performance" thru hull Ducer with the accompanying fairing block, or the regular bronze thru hull? Seems like a big premium for the $ on the high performance ducer? Is it mostly related to speed? or performance? Thanks for input.

Hey Jeff- going through the hull with a transom mount like Chuck did. If the high dollar ducer is as good as they say it is then I believe you can see a flounder fart with it. I had mine in a bag of water for the last couple of weeks in my bilge and the thing works great. I siliconed the sucker in there on saturday and fished last night and I really cant believe how well the machine works. Saturday night I marked a nice blob in 14 ft of water and it wasnt 2 seconds later I caught another big red one like the picture. Although my boat is by no means fast (neither am I) I havnt lost bottom at any speed . The ability to change background colors really comes in handy if you fish at night, I use the black background and it is like a playstation 2 game- (CAN YOU TELL IF i LIKE IT>??? Used my buds x-15 the next night and there is absolutely no comparison. (no offence intended to anyone who might be using one- also in fairness they are combonation machines which I would rather have seperate stand alone units. I had my young son on board last night and we marked some big black drum and he hooked up into a (2)hour fight on 14 lb test which ultimately ended by cutting the line under my boat. Fish appeared to be in the 90/100lb range. He really needs some heavier line- anyways - Jeff, Im certain you will like it, the only problem I see is if you fish really shallow water <3' it doesnt mark well at all. clutter- see ya
