Default If you were to buy a 25CC????

Is there a year(s) make of the 25 CC that IS a well built boat...any experience? I'm guessing that a 2003/2004 is suspect given the qaulity control issues documented on this site...(The Merc package doesn't thrill me either.) Any thoughts/experience appreciated as always.

Jeff,
if you are concerned about quality there are other builders that make a 25ft seacraft.

Capecod Marine (26ft)
http://www.capecodmarineinc.com/

Silverhawk (24ft)
www.jerseyboat.com (not sure if their still in business)
but the boats sure had a nice finish.

Sailfish (26ft)
www.sailfishboats.com

Just something to consider.

Silverhawk is now a Topaz

I like Tim's first boat selected ...What about the 26 Regulator ...You know you find them offshore

Here's a new , fresh out of the mold , boat company…… pretty nice pedigree too ... Southport Boat works

I've looked at one of the 2003 and they added a lot of things around the transom area to shore that area up. So I doubt they will have the problems that my boat has there. I don't know that they have done anything to help the problem I have with the deck/console being loose.

Lastly you still have to deal with the Tracker Marine Group....no matter how much they improve the boat you'll still have to deal with them.....

I'd buy the Titantic before I bought a Tracker product!

I'm more inclined to pursue a 26/27 Reg or Contender, the Silver Hawk is of interest but its not as good as what I have already so..I was curious if they had improved the problems with the 25 CC at all by Tracker? They seem to be selling from what I've seen and are less expensive then the Reg, although I'm sure the Reg is a way better built boat.

I have been wondering if any new 25' SeaCraft were out there. I have not seen an ad for one in months. You could still find the SeaCraft ad in Saltwater Sportsman and Sportfishing but , as I recall, the last issue I seen their ad was April. I have received their flyiers (Bass Pro Shop) and they have everything, but SeaCraft in that ad.

I have looked at the 23T (25' LOA) Contender and the 25 Bluewater and neither boat had as fishing room as my SeaCraft. The big difference in their boats and mine....theirs are usable and mine is not!

check out www.seaveeboats.com
I owned a 28' and she was the best boat out of the 12 I've owned. My friend bought a 25' at the same time and kept it 6 years. They are, without a doubt, the best riding, handling, offshore CC I have ever been on. They have gotten a bit pricey but their quality is better than Contender and Intrepid.
