Default Hull to cap bond?

Question- I just bought a 1970 Seafari, and one thing it needs is some repair along the seam between the hull and side deck. How is this bonded or attached, and how should it be reattached?

Well ,on My 20' I siliconed between the 2 pieces then screwed & Thru bolted & then siliconed the outside edge on the out side. The rub rail went over this then siliconed under it.
Lotta screw'n & Silicon'n but She's dry! No water entry as before & seems quiter & stiffer.

I used 52 million and drilled all the holes to accept a no 8 flat head stainless screw. No that the fishing season is winding down, I think this winter i can get alot of progress on my 20 I/o and i think the Merc cummins diesel I/o is going to be the power plant. My cummins man is going to make me one hell of a deal.
Hope this helps.

Oh btw, if any maryland and Va guys are still going offshore of OCMD the Bluefin tuna bite is crazy. I have caught my limit and tagged over 150 some up to 200#'s in the last 2 weeks.

JW- Saw you have a 20' Seacraft, checked your website, and I have a quick question..
why no peanuts? Bananas I know about, rap music, I agree.... what's the deal with peanuts not being allowed out on the Banshee?
