These are pictures of my boat from before I bought it up to the point just after it was painted. I will take some follow up pictures and add them to my ophoto album soon. The boat now has a t-top, electronics...ect. that are not in these pictures. I hope posting this link will give everyone access. Enjoy!!

I would love to hear responses and am happy to answer questions. Thanks to all on the site for ideas,insperation and help. A local shop did most of the work but I helped when and where I could.

Nice and clean and really like the hull, boot and bottom contrast.

Hull ...Awlgrip ?? Ice Blue or Blue tone white? ya keeping the bottom white ?

Whats in front of the transom …Fish box or bilge access ??? with a gutter around the opening ?

The boat is painted with awlgrip, Ice Blue on the outside and Snow White on the inside. The pictures are a little lighter blue than the boat actually looks. I had wanted to paint the boat Navy blue but took some advice and am now glad that I went Ice Blue. I did get my navy in the bootstripe though and that is painted as well. That is a storage area in front of the transom. I did have the corners rounded so I can use it as a livewell if I ever see fit. The gutter is useless right now as it channels water into the storage area. I will address that eventually. In the back of the storage area are 2 clear 8inch portholes that unscrew for direct bilge access. You can also access the bilge through a hatch that you see in the middle of the transom. This hatch area is a little tight because it is below the big fishbox/livewell that holds over 60 gallons of water. I am keeping the white bottom for now becuase the boat lives on the trailer and the bottom is just awlgrip. It will not spend more than a few days in the water at a time. The shop that did the work is G-Craft Marine. Bobby has restored many seacrafts and does excellent work at a fair price. I will try and take some more pictures when I get the boat back. It has been in the shop getting work done on the motors and re-propped. I hope to have it back today or Monday.

Looks Real Nice CM. Can you tell us what is under the livewell to support it?





I noticed that the bottom has an angle to it. I;m sure that's for draining purposes.

Boat looks great. Your livewell and transom cap looks almost exactly like the ones I did for my Albemarle project.

Is your livewell angled like warthog asked?

The livewell is glassed on the bottom to two fiberglass knees that support it. The knees are between the openings that you see in the top picture that warthog5 posted.Support was a concern and the knees seem to be doing a great job so far. The top of the livewell is very heavily glassed to the wooden cap of the transom. I feel that the setup is soild. The livewell is angled for drainage purposes and even has a little recessed drain at the bottom of the angle. I connected a 1 1/2 inch hose to it and ran it out of the side of the boat. I use differnet height pieces of pvc pipe to determine how much water I want in the livewell. The taller the pipe the more water as the water runs out once it flows over the pipe. I put a mesh net on it to stop bait from being sucked out. When I want to empty the livewell I just pull the pipe up and everything is quickly sucked out. It is a strong enough suction to pull shrimp out with ease. I have 4 optima batteries in the boat which allows me to run the 1100gph livewell pump all day long without to much worry. I can adjust the flow and direction with a nozzel. I haven't tried it yet with menhaden but for shrimp and mullet it works great. Thanks for all of the replies and keep them coming.

Looks great CM. Keep the pics coming. I keep an archive of everyones projects. Do the 8 inch port holes give you access to the transom bracket bolts?
