Another comparison for you george....

Two summers ago, I ran approx. 30 miles at about 3000 RPM (twas a rough morning), trolled for about 7 hours at 6 kts, then ran about 25 miles back at 4000 as it had calmed down nicely. I covered about 112 miles on 43 gallons. My Navman told me I was drinking about 2 gal/hr at the 6 kts.

20 footer scepter with 135 merc carbed motor will get an easy 3 mpg at 3600 rpms. At least mine does. I have a dole fin no tabs. Hope this helps. Scotty.
