Jabsco Par 4 is a great pump ( ITT Industries ). I have used one pump on several boats, for two purposes; washdown and livewell. For a washdown, I use it w/ a 15'-20' coil hose and a cheap $1.99 plastic nozzle - pressure is great.

As a livewell, it is perfect for moving the water in my 25 gallon livewell. I have no complaints about the pump.

Each winter, if you have to deal w/ freezing, just unclamp/disconnect the raw water hose at the raw water valve and place it into a bucket of boat/RV antifreeze. Turn pump on until anitfreeze comes out. Oila - pump winterized.

Capt Chuck,

The Baitmaster Pro sounds interesting. How do you switch from baitwell to washdown. Does that unit require 2 pickups?

I found one for $179.00.

Thanks

Paul

See if this sketch helps. Make sure you use GOOD none kinking hose (shortest pieces you can) and 100% SS hose clamps. One thru hull intake is sufficient

I was thinking - if the baitwell pump does not have a second water source for the washdown pump, why couldn't you but a T between the shutoff and the pump? Wouldn't this work the same as the dual port baitwell pump?

I've been following this thread. I have a computer tech question. The sketch in Capt Chuck's post above doesn't open for me. Anyone have a suggestion. This is an upcoming project for me as well.
