Default Re: Repower - 4 stroke Yamaha vs Suzuki

I spoke to Alan over at Ryder's, and he was talking about $11 - 12K for engine, guages, etc, installed. Seemed high, and he indicated he did not do enough volume to see the low prices.... I am going to look into the Bayracers post by JW.

I run out of Harwich/South Chatham, so Ryders is bit out of the way (by boat). I had a great relationship with the guys at Stage Harbor, in fact they sold Seacrafts in the old days, and convinced me to go looking for a redone one. Too bad they only sell the Mercs. Does not sound like Merc will have any mid size 4 strokes anytime soon.

It sounds like the best bang for the buck, without giving up quality, is the Suzuki. Now I just need to find a good deal!
