Default Cap / Liner removed on a 23' Sceptre

Hello there,

has anyone tried or even possible to remove the cap & liner from a Potter hull? if you have or can, please share some picture and how to. thanks

I've had mine off and it will come off again to be recored. What are you looking for? I have some pic's with it off, but not too many.

hey Finster,

looking as possibly redoing some of the core above the deck. trying to figure out how the boat is assembled built up. this would help guide me to the least possibly work..... what recoring are you doing to your boat? thanks

I am recoring the whole top cap. The boat I am referring to is a i/o model and the cap comes off very easily, there is no engine well thats attached to the cap and molded to the deck.
These boats are in three parts: top cap, inner liner and outter hull. No foam to worry about other that whats around the fuel tank.
Just grab a chain saw and go to town...... Remember, once you take it apart, you have to put it back. So think it threw before you go cutting things apart. Don't make unnessary work for your self if you don't have to.

Ebeach,

do you have to cut the cap at the motor well/rear of the boat? the one i am looking at has a motor well. looks like the well is glass onto the cap.
