Default Fire in NJ

Scott- did you see the story in the news about the fire at Winters on Sunday ? Scared the hell out of me- it was not that far from my boat ! My boat was fine though. I think 4 or 5 boats were involved as they are stored so close together- guy was working with some flammable stuff that ignited- he was burnt badly.

Jack Thanks again for the heads up ... First and foremost I hope this guy is going to be OK and hope he heals quickly
... If its the boat I think it is I've seen him on his boat almost every time I'm in the yard.
After reading the article and looking at the picture It was a bit close for comfort !! There are several boats ... including a big old Hatteras that had been moved between what I believe is the origin boat and mine. I would guess that they would shield me from any direct initial effect ... Tried to call them ..but after I talked with you it was too late ... not to mention this is the normal “off” day in the yard ... WOW

Talk about scared … You and me both …

The story

Again Thanks ..

Scott- no problem- they apparently have not activated the gate as of today so you can only get in during regular business hours, so I have not been able to get inside since I have been late for work in the a.m. - but I will get in tomorrow morning (before the snow hits)- but again, I can see from the road that we are both fine.

I guess they will keep it "secure" until they get those boats out of there. I mean really during the winter there is hardly any traffic in there. So they must be trying to keep sightseers out.

Thanks again for taking a look for me

Scott- got in there this morning when gate was open- everything is fine- many of the boats have some black soot on the shrinkwrap but thats about it and that will be washed away with this snow tonight- we escaped ! Now, if we could get rid of this snow .........
