The DF140 (410#s) is actually lighter weight than the DF115 (416#s).

Weight IS a factor with the SC18 and SC20, both are tail heavy boats and I've owned one of each.

One member on here from the Virgin Islands has a 140 on his 18' and speaks very highly of the setup, it was one factor that helped me decide to put the 140 on my 20' (which isn't that much different than the 18' in either length or weight).
