Just a thought: sometimes the cheapest option can end up costing more in the long run.

MArk,

the interior will be gelcoated, not painted with Mothane like the exterior.

Basically some of the work being done is patching holes, some glassing here and there, rod holders, some transom work, sides reinforcements, and some soft spots on floor and cap as well, and of course paint job. I saved him some labor by striping down the boat of all hardwares, doors, rubrails, and electricals. i brought the boat bare, except the engine, too heavy!! this guy will work with you to save time and money if you wanted to. I'll post the pics soon!

happy easter!!

Call Jose at Princeton Boatworks (Princeton FL near Homestead, FL). He used to work for Bill Potter when the Factory was in Princeton. I have heard nothing but good about him and I am now taking my boat there to be finished. Do not go to Creative Fiberglass. I had the worst experience with him.

I have seen a 26' Seaway on Block Island that has as two part exterior green paint job put on by a roller. Outside, in the gravel parking lot at the Hog Pen! The resulting job looks fine to my eye. What about it? If this is an example, could exterior work be done by the owner?

I think I saw John from Shipshape apply that to his yellow Seabird, I think it's called roll and tip, you roll on the paint and another person immediately passes a good quality brush over the surface in one direction. Looks good after it dries!

I did my 23 CC in my drive way with the method described above. Works great only difference is on my boat I first rolled a area and then brushed it myself. You can do it without help if you don’t do the roller part over 3 to 4 ft at a time.
