Thanks Bobber, but what is that black stuff?
If the boy is willing, he'll spend the weekend prepping the deck for an added layer of glass. The deck has been subjected to such abuse over the years that it is a mass of gel cracks, and it flexes a bit too much for my taste. The plan is to add another layer of glass over the entire upper part of the deck overlapping around the joint of the upper and lower deck. That will give us a solid surface to re-finish the deck as well as giving us a secure bond between the deck and the hull. Heh, it sounds good on paper.

Boatdood,
That black stuff is Penske extreme composite. That is the material for my bulk heads and floor. Really easy to cut in before adding the glass. After adding glass its like a rock. Here is my deck after it's glassed in. ![]()

Thanks Bobber. Where did you get the Penske composite? It will be a while before I need the flooring composite but it could be as early as a week from now. If possible, I'd rather go with composite than wood. One of my best old time friends has been in the glass repair business for almost thirty years now. He is helping me with the material I'll need for the restore.
