Well I'm working on getting quotes from boat transporters. It's about 1,500 +- miles from Miami to the Cape.

Option 1 is to have some one pick it up and bring it up here, option 2 is to rent some sort of a vehicle down in Miami and tow it back myself. I don't have faith in driving my truck that far, it's an old F250 that's perfect for hauling short distances, not 3,000 miles. The trailer would need to be replaced if I was going for option 2.

I'll keep you posted..

I am trying to follow who is getting the boat and who is willing to assist in transport and who will assist in rebuilding. My head is spinning.
Who is going to own it? Where will it live? Who will be helping on it.

I live in Boynton and will volunteer to help where I can.

Can someone bring me up to speed in English? If so, please type slowly.

Thanks,

BuzzCutt

Here's my deal: I'm looking into getting quotes from Boat haulers to bring the boat up north, haven't received anything yet. The problem that I think I will run into is getting the boat and trailer onto the big rig's trailer. It would probably have to be moved to a facility that has equipment to lift the whole package onto the big trailer. Also the cost is going to be 2 - 4K I'm predicting. I hate to say it but this might be too much to take on right now. Reality is setting in. I wish I had a more reliable pickup, I would use my 23's trailer and drive down and pick it up. Another thing is that with my work schedule I wouldn't be able to do anything until the middle of April.

If anyone else really wants it, I'll step aside. If nothing happens by April 15th I'll jump back in the mix. This boat is in rough shape, but probably one of a kind.

Cliff, you can move me down the list of potential takers. Thanks for the information you provided over the phone. If nothing happens let me know.

Rich

Update: I just received a quote for $1,500 from Miami to the Cape. HMMMMMM.....But I need someway to lift the package on the trailer?

Any ideas?
