Good ol' Interlux Bottom Kote is what I always use if I'm doin it myself. Foam brushes are the way to go also, no drip and no streaking.

Does that paint have a rough texture to it? I have heard it may slow the boat a tad.?

Any bottom paint is gonna be rough and slow you down a bit, but I don't believe that Interlux's is any worse than any other you'll come across

Thanks for the info guys- do I need to rough sand or prime the bottom before applying bottom kote.
Oh- I think barnacles will slow me down more than a good paint job. I subscribe to the 'hole in the water theory.' |

A good rough sanding will do the trick.

Thanks for the help guys- as you know the amount of 'dealer/boat shop' misinformation is incredible. Most say -impossible DYI and rough/finish sand + 2 primer coats + several finish bottom coats etc etc all equal well over 1000 to1400 bucks. It just can't be that tuff. What about applying the bottom kote with a roller?
