Awesome work. I'll be doing a tear down like that in a year or two to take care fo a soft transom and decks. I just installed that new rigging tube from Yamaha that you are using but had a hard time getting enough flex in the whole assembly since the boat and rigging were not desinged to use a tube like that. I mounted my flange with the threads inside of the boat instead of outside the boat like you have it to get me a few more inches of flex. Looks great either way, really cleaned up the mess of hoses and wires I had back there. Our boats look very similar, same size/color/and both bottom painted, with a Yamaha hanging off the back.

I see that these thruhull's are pretty low. Not sure if it's the way the factory did it or the way you installed them.
At any rate, I hope you installed upwarp loop's in the hoses that connest to them? |

Actually they're about 10" to 12" above the actual water line which is about 1-1/2" below the painted water line. The boat sits high in the water- no bracket and a single engine.-PF

There are small cooler boxes (unless they took them out in the restore) that are molded in and drop down from the cap. Those thru hulls are mounted about at the bottom of those compartments and cant go higher. That’s not just random placement. PF ... Your Bro kept a stream of pictures flowing during your restore ... I was thinking/surprised he didn't keep it for himself !! Looks great !! |
