Looking for ideas to build a custom rod rack that will be mounted on the ceiling of my garage. most importantly getting more STUFF off the floor
Yo Vezo

Here's an idea that might help ya I know it's not pretty, but it works. I utilized the dead air space in the garage. My ceiling is 12'. I built this 8'x 8' platform secured to the ceiling truss system like the garage door. All you need is 2"x 4", plywood, joist hangers and angle struts. The rods store underneath to prevent damage. It is about 7' from the floor for easy reaching. Coolers, camping equip, xmas boxes etc are off the floor. You could modify this conception to meet your needs. NO hingeing required......
