Default Re: Comment from Regulator owner

It was not that bad out there. It was snotty north of the hook (from Romers to Swinburne island was quite choppy).

The fluke are just starting up. There were probably 50 plus boats fluking just inside of the hook between the bug light and coast guard row. The fluking should improve alot over the next several weeks.

The first bass over 50 + pounder of the season was just just caught. Rumor has it that the big bass are startng to stack up near Shrewsburry Rocks. The cow season is about to being. Last year in June you could go out and in 4 hours you could catch over 10 bass that would weigh between 20 and 40 pounds (all on live bunker or bunker spoons). Now is the time to come up here is you want excellent bass fishing.

I read that you will be coming up in the fall. Last year we had our best bass fishing in the first week of December. There were acres and acres of them heading south and you could catch all of the bass that you want, either on jigs or plugs. After catching tons of bass we would then go over to eithe Sandy Hook reef or the Rattlesnake and target Blackfish. Now that's fishing.
