Jim, I was using a "Star"heavy duty spinning rod, Okuma Axeon reel, 50lb Power Pro, Spro-swivel and 50lb fluoro leader. The lure was a Yozuri hydrotiger....I took off the stock trebels and split rings and replaced them with 6/0 stainless steel tuna hooks and hd rings.

Nick pretty much described the scene earlier. We went out looking for them, but after about 8 hours decided we jig up some cod/haddock for dinner, right about that time...the tide changed, the water calmed a bit, mother nature rang the dinner bell and the bite was on!
