Re: Pictures of my Restored '75
My boat was bright red when I bought it. I bought it from a young guy named Steven. It was parked near the end of a street at his parents house and all he had to do was back it up about 20 feet to launch it in the canal behind the house. What a beautiful area you live in!! I think the name of the street was Jade Dr. I guess you must live close to there?? Small world.

Yep, jade is one steet north of us. Yea I realy like the area where we live. But getting out of the bay on mini season is kind of difficult. Sure is a small world. Where do you live. Next time you come down this way you can bring the boat here and dock it, and we could take both boats out fishing or something! Good Luck on the boat! Re: Pictures of my Restored '75
While out looking at our boat a few minutes ago, we had the guy who you bought the boat from walk down to see our boat. I told him about your restoration on his boat. So he is going to check it out he said. He now has a 1977 Sceptre. Its a small world we live in.

Re: Pictures of my Restored '75
I am glad Steven is in another seacraft. I bet he wouldn't recognize his old boat. I think your boat came out amazing. I had thought about having a lot of the work done down there but wanted to be a part of it and work on the boat myself as much as possible. I trailered it back to Charleston, SC and started my 2 year restoration process. You will love the boat. I am amazed at how well these boats ride with the bracket and twins. I would love to hear some performance numbers after you get her in the water. My 200 Mercs are a little thirsty but reliable. I would love to eventually swap them out for something more economical like your HPDIs. Take it easy and enjoy your "New" boat!!

I've been looking at that boat wishing Hermco was on the west coast. I love that offset door. They can really makeover a boat.
