Default Re: 20 Seafari

Gaulois -

just an fyi - I picked up a GPS, and was out of Hampton Harbor this weekend on my 20' seafari, chasing fish up and down Plum Island - anyways, the thing I wanted to mention is that with a full tank of gas, (the 47 gal OB tank) and two people on the boat, I was getting 30 mph WOT (gps speed)with my older 115 v4 johnson, and a nice cruise at 24mph, an even softer cruise at 18mph, and was even able to stay up on plane at 14mph.

We were out there about 7 hours, and only burned 1/4 - 1/3 tank of gas, combination of trolling, and run and gun on surface feeds, so reasonably economical.

Not that I'd recommend going as low as a 115, but thought that might give you some numbers from the low end of the range to work with.

Bill
