Hey RS

How are you !!!

Never seen one like that ... But ... Have you figured out how much deck space will you lose taking out the casting platform and going flush with the rest of the deck (since the hull sides taper in with the “V” up there). Just some food for thought.

Diego

Scott is right-on here. You will LOSE deck space by removing the step-up platform. You will not be able to walk around a coffin box unless you moved your console aft. Then you would be giving up all the space you gained by enclosing the transom

Diego,That's what I'm going to do on my 20.You know down here we can't have enough livewells and space for cast nets and such. And I think the little bit of deck space that you loose up forward isn't worth the trade off for the box.Let's face it we are on the hook most of the time.It may be a little tight for me when I'm kite fishing, but not enough to be a big problem.Just my thoughts.

i have a large cooler setup as a coffin box in my 20 cc

I can use it as a fish box when fishing, a cooler for those long beer days or as storage and a place to keep things dry.

Or I can just remover it when not in use

I removed the seat portion on the door of my 23 Center Console which gave me some extra room up front just before the casting platform anyway it is just big enough to place a 120 gal Igloo long ways in that spot it’s 40” long. I use it for a fish box and I like it much better than the coffin boxes because it is easy to remove and clean.

Thanks for the replys.
Scott,Chuck you got a point I talked to Mike at Wildfire and he said it might not work for that same reason.I might put a small fridid rigid up there but even though they have rubber on bottom I might go flying on rough days.Like I said I have to figure something out so I can dump my bait in after I toss the net and keep em cold, minnows get real nice in the cold. Im going to check out some measurements on frigid rigids or Icey techs, thanks again.

Scott, you see in that pic that you sent me, were you have that area filled in,I was thinking of making a chill box as wide as I can go ,looks like about a foot square, resting inside the V in the compartment and sticking out about maybe 18 inches with an insulated lid. this might work, also a drain hole on the bottom that will drain into the large compartment. Any comments? Thanks again
