FYI for those planning to come over the Newport / Jamestown bridges - they are closed due to the wind gusts in excess of 50 knots (reportedly 70 out on the Porkchop) .

I'm still planning to head up (seeing that it is a major P.I.A. to go home now that those bridges are closed). If anything changes with meeting tonight please call my cell - 401-219-6573

Thanks,

John

Just got off the phone with JohnR who was ahead of me by 20 minutes. Our route is Iced over and clogged with Traffic Route 25 to Route 3.

I am sorry to say at the last minute but there is no way we can make it up today.

I'll still swing by since Jamie's is on the way home for me. Coming from Quincy and traffic getting out of my office park is insane, so I'm not sure when I'm leaving work.

So, who made it last night? By the time traffic cleared in my office park, it was 7:30. It was about 8:40 by the time I got to exit 12, so I just headed home.

Who's up for trying this again after the holidays - perhaps Friday January 6, same place, same time?

The boat shows are just around the corner. That might be a good time to get together
