New to list, should I buy?
Would like to say "Hi" from the CommonWealth of Virginia. While growing up a friends dad had a 1970's SeaCraft 23'(I think) Seafari cuddy cabin. I do remember it does have a head and galley. I had the chance to spend a lot of summers on this boat. After his dad passed away, the boat was passed down to his son, more fun on the boat during my early 20's. The boat went through two floods. Boat was then sold to a person who fixed the boat back up, engine, etc... He also had to replace the transom($4500) and has used the boat for many years. The orginal head has now rusted through. The new owner tells me he has an engine that runs well (a 4 cylinder Merc I/O)that is just like the original one. I have the chance to buy the boat/engine and trailer for $1500 or best offer. The boat looks like the pics of the white/red bottom on this link thats sitting in the boat yard.
http://forum.classicseacraft.com/sho...b=5&o=&fpart=1 Is it worth buying? whats the cost to get a boat like this back to "not show" but real nice condition? Paul In Virgina |

Re: New to list, should I buy?
It's a 20 seafari and if that boat were in california or even two states away from me you wouild have to race with me to see who could get to it first. I think 1500 is a great buy on a such a versatile boat like the 20 seafari. Good luck.
