Default Re: Painting bilge?

I think I have Seacraftitis. I bought a 20 1974 about a month ago on a whim. It was for sale at a bargain basement price and in all original, just needed some tlc (cosmetic) care. I now might have the opportunity to swap my 1993 Grady Gulfstream for a 1973 23 SF I/O, with money back. I haven't decided if I want to yet as that 23 Grady Gulfstream is a sweet boat. I am currently asking about the 20 SF. If painting is primarily for looks, I will probably not paint it, as maintenance would be more difficult down the road.
