I would love to fish. What about running it somewhere inbetween like Stuart. That way south florida boys would have an 1.5 hr drive and the drive wouldn't be as long for the north florida boys. You may get more people commiting.

I'm been trying to get the south guys here for this years get-together. Not much response from them although 4 or 5 are coming from your neck of the woods

Unfortunately it's quite a long trailering ride for most of us, more like 2 hours there and 2 more back. I think Noahsark wants to keep it simple, a day fishing and some socializing afterwards, with no one having to stay overnight. Going to Stuart will take quite a bit more planning and funds. I will be there for the cookout though!

I am very interested so long as my boat is ready. If you need assistance, please let me know. My wife and I run swordfish tournaments.

Thanks,

yea, yea, yea ! Now that I'm moving ! Heck, Elliot Key would be the Place! Plenty of docking,Camping, showers, heads,Coons (to clean-up).Just a few minute run from Blackpoint-Just off the turnpike or Bayfront-due east 6 miles. Then only minutes to the reef & bluewater fishing! Heck Your there before the engines warm up!I've had Dolphin on while trying not to drift into a coral head!Sails will be here still for a lil while. On the way to the reef there are flats for the Fliers/Boneheads.Some of the Best Yellowtailing just off the beach ,well coast.Wonder off the beach/coast & grab some lobster too!I was planning something like this last year but it kinda fizzled(work).

Skiblet I would personally love to see us get to the point where we would need to find a more central location to have a little tourny where the N.Fla boys wouldnt have to drive all the way down. It being that this is the first attempt at it, I thought we would start small and simple and if we see that we have a great turnout with the pottential for something bigger we go for it then.

darkside welcome to CSC brother, feel free to fire away any ideas you might have.

You know, Capt. Brad's idea is a really good one. I have spent many good times at Elliot Key and it is a great jumping off place to just about anywhere. And he should know, he's been all over this place!

Ok, lets keep it simple then and make it grow. I'm still in as long as some secret fishing spots are disclosed and my boat is completed.
