Freshwater Wash
Thinking about putting a small tank(6-9 gal) inside the bench seat of the console and plumbing a low volume jabsco pump just for rinsing t-top curtains, hardware, self!. Alreadyhave saltwater wash for heavy stuff. Boat stays on a mooring so hose is not always an option.
Anyone see any potential problems that I may run into that I'm missing. Also, the tank is poly and without any real way to fasten it --suggestions? Thanks |

Re: Freshwater Wash
Capt Chuck has a pretty nice 15 gallon setup in his boat, so hopefully he'll see this post and give you the lowdown.

Re: Freshwater Wash
What kind of tank? You could probably make up a set of straps out of plastic or rubber to fasten it down, similar to how plastic automotive gas tanks are held in.
Good topic! This is an upgrade I plan on doing in the future with the addition of a small sink that I scrounged. Like these.....

Re: Freshwater Wash
I'm looking at one of those todd tanks-they are cheap, rotomolded, and come in the right sizes. All of the collapsible tanks I have seen will take up too much room. Todd makes some nice small tanks. I'm thinking about the par-max one pump, which only flows atlike 1 gpm-just good for rinsing stuff and it wont suck the tank dry in no time.
Those straps look like they might do the trick-I'm gonna poke around for a while and see what I can turn up. My biggest issue isnot losing all of the space under the bench.I'd like to give up about half of it. |

Re: Freshwater Wash
I have a 15 gal in my CC. I used some aluminum 1” wide stock I got from Home Depo and made my own. Works great

Re: Freshwater Wash
Ya it is a Surflo and I can’t remember which one it is either. I would go with either the Blaster or the Pro Blaster if I had to replace it.
