I'm not surprised. Members do not generally criticize a for sale post. It's not good form, but you can learn from the silence.
Good luck.

StMike, Your boat is gorgeous. There are alot of people here who are looking for project boats who will tell you that your boat is too expensive, but there are people who look for a fully restored boat. It is just that there are fewer people who can afford to buy a fully restored boat considering the trouble with loans on older boats. It just takes time. Your boat is sweet though. Post more pictures and after you get enough people drooling, someone will buy it

The older hull has a strong reputation and is a popular choice for a select group. I have a restored 1973 23' SF and do not regret the investment. I would be someone willing to pay 40K for a restoration because I know what it takes. Set a fair price and stay with it. If you must sell her, everyone is waiting for a bargain. Good Luck.

You are running into the same thing that we all consider when thinking of a repower. It costs as much or more than the boat new. I think if someone knowledgable would consider the cost of the engines, the price would not look that bad. Good Luck

Thanks Gary.I own a business tha requires me to buy several outboards every year.I'm switching over to inboard diesels for better economy.Selling this boat is going to make it possible for me to remove another boat from the fleet with outboards. This is my personal boat but I dont get to spend any time on it.I know enough people to go off shore a few times a year,I dont have to let it go for less than 40 thousand and plan on sticking with that number.I thought that this forum would know what this boat is worth,I still believe most do.Thanks for the words of encouragement
