I don't know Chatham, but if thats the big blue their heading out to, those type II PFD's those clowns are wearing wouldn't cut the mustard keeping their heads above water.

Thats the big blue alright! At least when I did it it was a super minus tide very foggy and sunset so no one got a pic of me

turned to soon and just caught the last six feet of a bar and sat there till I got pulled of by a big ole smokey diesel, after his line snapped three times. The worst part is that six feet away the water was fifteen feet deep and where I was it was about four inches

I hope never to be on that bar!! They are very lucky it was a calm day. I saw a commercial fishing boat on the inside of nauset just inside the inlet on a bar, high and dry a couple years back. It was foggy and we were going slow and could not believe it. He was bummed.
