I like it.
Are you planning on keeping the I/O?
Have you considered just flip up type seat tops/ You would have seating plus better access to the transom at the corners.

I am keeping the I/O, these hatches interest me as they will keep the bilge of the boat water tight whereas with flip up seats they will never seal and I tend to get silly with the washdown hose especially after a few Cold Coors Lights
