So basically it dosnt matter the setup if the original floor is left alone. OK so you keep the bronze thru hull and mount the ping pong ball scupps over the top somehow?

The ping-pong ball scuppers aren't perfect, but they will likely help you out quite a bit. Try to keep the leaves out of them and they do pretty good. Some brands, such as Flow-Max ( http://www.thmarine.com/product.cfm?PRID=55 ) have a single set-screw that allow you to bayonet the outer part off and let debris out very easily, this is a very nice feature to have (it's not on the Rabud's).

I fully realize that raising the floor is more involved than many want to contend with. That being the case, get some decent ping-pong scupper covers and some plugs for the cockpit area and be careful in rough conditions - if you take on serious water, get that thing on plane as soon as you can.

Man! Every time I see those pictures I realize that boat is just TITS! Nice work. I want to come fish it!

When I redid my transom in 99 I was not aware of this site. I believe my system was factory. Floor drains in rear corners, dropped 1.5 inches or so, turned 90 degrees then went under the storage compartment and livewell, and out the transom. But it had all been replaced with (rigid, H-D type PVC plumbing Sh!t) with threaded fittings outboard and capped. You've seen the crap. Looks like the outside of an Igloo cooler. The glass guy I used convinced me to simply drain those originals directly into the bilge and pump it from there. Do I now have the true defination of a Sinkcraft? After reading Otto's experience of last weekend, I need "QuadCrash" pumps. Standing by with little confidence. Part II. Nice boat Mark!

Vezo, I still have that original setup you talk about. I think I'd rather have wet feet than pump into the bilge. As i understand it if you are running she will bail nicely. One friend installed a clamshell over his thru floor scuppers to stop water from shooting up through as he comes down on waves. I think i will stick with the original layout.

Hermit, I think I would have to agree with you. When those scuppers were capped closed I lost all self-bailing benefits. However, other than spilled beers and fish blood, I had never taken on water that I would have had to get to plane to dump. Hindsight, I guess I never actually knew this hull was self-bailing.

Hows the weather up there? Heard yesterday was Stellar on the ocean side. Word I'm getting is the bass have not yet migrated south, OR they went outside. Jersey and Montauk sound similar.

May have to take Miles Offshore's offer in December. Good Luck. Vezo.

Vezo, Still bass to be had but everyone focused on Tuna. Can you blame 'em. Beer and Blood in the bilge Classic
