Default Re: anyone running a yami 225 4 stroke on a 23 cc?

Worried about weight, twin 17 years old 115 yami on jack plates with twin oil tanks in the back, unknow hours but a lot, 42mph,30" transom and she seem to handle it good.If I was to repower I would go with a 250 suzuki four stroke. Hope you find what your looking for - good luck.(to many to pick from)

At 225 its kinda marginable anyway, as mentioned the 250 is stronger but a weak 225 won't get it. Too many other options but I would stick with 2S. These hulls like HP, they get very plain without enough even at cruise, the HP gets the boat up higher on the center chines and you can feel it.
