Default Re: 1971 cc

Motorhead,

Welcome to CSC. I have a 1970 20CC (outboard) with the same original gelcote and also a freshwater boat. It's the most amazing 20 footer ever built and you'll love it. The I/O adds significant weight to the stern and take up room for fishing. Most guys here fish and that may be a deal breaker for most. However, it will be a terrific power plant for you. If you get tired of it, you can always install a bracket and an OB. The good news here is that you have a classic full transom, something most CSC member covet. I have a 1971 Seafari (cuddy) with an I/O and am saving it for a future restoration.

I hope you gain a lot of knowledge from the content of this site as well as input from it's members. I would, however, take Capt. Chuck's advise and introduce yourself, where you like to boat and how you use your boat. You will find how to post images by using the sites search feature. It's easy really. We'd love to see your boat. Also put up some information on your profile.

Best of luck with your new ride and we look forward to seeing you around the site.
