Default 23 Potter Hull

I have an opportunity to get a Seacraft 23 Potter Hull open fish pretty much free. Only problem is there is no console, tank, the transom was cut out (almost completely). Floor has been removed down to the stringers. No hardware either. My biggest fear would be the transom. The person who tried to restore this boat, looks like he took a sawsall to it. There is maybe an inch of transom left around the perimeter. The hull overall exterior besides the transom is solid. Any opinions on taking on a project like this one? Do it or not? I will try to get some pics posted.

Nice boats when finished. You would probably end up with it at that stage at some point anyway and it sounds like the price is right! Go for it!

I think you should send it my way.

Seriously, If you have the time, money and this website that could be an awsome deal and finished boat. If you looking to go fishing with it in a few months, buy one already done. Sounds like all the messy work has been completed already. Now the fun stuff. Any pics.

That is the perfect boat to take on “IF” this is what you want to do. I looked for 6 months to find just a Hull so I didn’t have to pay for stuff I was planning to throw away anyway. Actually if I was going to do it all over again I would view what you have as more desirable than if it was all together and you would have to remove stuff to get started.

If you decide not to take it, let the other CSC members
get a shot at it. There are guys here dying for a project
boat.

The price might be right but be sure you get the title. Don't want to put a bunch of money in a project and not be able to get a title in Florida.

(retired FMP)I've seen these title issues...

Ha Slider;

Is this the 23 in Fort Lauderdale close to I-95 and 84? I talked to a guy Friday around there that had one.
