Do you mean the cable and the proper end or the linking arm sometimes used when using a fixed pivot point in the steering linkage? Both styles of systems exist. If you are looking for a linking arm, they should be available from most any boat rigger /new boat sales business.

The easier of the two is the direct connect, if the swing distances are adequate, while an inter-link through a fixed pivot point can add some mechanical advantage as well as swing distance.

Remember, the required swing distance increases as the engine connection point is located further from the center of rotation of the engine on its transom mounting bracket.

I realize that this may be confusing, but it can be easily solved by a commercial rigger.
