My i/o has that in-deck baitwell right about where fellowship has his but I've never gotten up the nerve to plumb it. I sure would like to, but that big drain hole in the bottom of the transom scares me a little. Does the line have a check valve in it? Does it have a shut-off to manually seal the line?
I've often thought that I should just put a portable on deck, as I don't do too much live bait, but that's surrendering even more deck space than thei/o already takes up. |

I have a cut off on the intake scoop where the bait pump pulls into the tank and on the exit I have brass through hull with thick hose and two clamps on both ends holding it together.
Holes in your boat are always a concern but really holes are not the problem poor connections, poor maintains, and bad bilge pumps are. I have one scoop, one transducer big football size hole, one drain for the boat and one for the live well now I am thinking about 2 underwater lights. Some boats look like a swish cheese now a days with all the stuff they are putting in them. O I forgot my ducer has a hole in it for the temp and MPR paddle as well Plus that hole in the front of the hull for the drain in that fish box.
