No overnight parking at the ramp but I have a guy that has a private ramp that I will try to get permission for us- Tom its the Landings, either that or drop the boat in take it around the corner to the park at the power plant. I'll know more in say a week. Tom how about Nicks Park for him easier to find at least.

Can someone post a link to a map or aerial view of Anclote Key?
Thanks, Brian

Here is a link to terraserver that should show it and then you can expand and move around with the pic;s Anclote is the northern island the bar to the north is the North Bar. I'll check the link myself.

Closer view, the target spot for camping is right at that tip of sand on the north end or the North Bar - you will need 2 anchors.

No way to just run them up on the beach or is this an anchor and wade spot?

Its pretty deep up to the beach so not much wading but you need to anchor stern to the beach so you can get in it, plus you'll have some boat traffic. See Hammers 20 picture on here.

Aha! I just checked it out on Google earth. I could not find this Hammers 20 picture you speak of though.
What's that small building up there on the NW corner of the island (just off the beach)? Are campfires aloud out there? I'm fix'in to trim my Oak tree, by then we'd have some good burning wood.

It maybe the pavilion although Tarpon Tom nor I have ever seen it as the offical camping is new on the island and they say they have 3. I wasn't able to get out there Sunday due 20 MPH-S winds but plan on camping and poke around this weekend. Campfires are allowed and NoBones was bringing some as well. I will attempt to post Hammers boat pic, as it will be similar conditions but the boats can get very close to the beach no problem.
