Wanted to include a few pics of North Anclote Key for those that haven't been there. I like to camp and anchor just south of the most North West point, about 1/2 to 3/4 mile, I have lat/lon #s I can pull off my GPS. You want to be just inside the outer sandbar. The exteme north end has some pretty swift currents and boat traffic which is not comforting at night. I had a sailboat drift into me a few years ago, doesn't help the sleep factor.
First pic is looking north toward the point, you can see what a beautiful place it is. ![]() This is the most problems you will have to deal with! ![]() This may give you an idea of how close you can anchor. About waist deep usually. ![]() It's paradise and by the end of April the water temps will be perfect. Bring everthing with you though, no Wal Marts here thank god!
