Default Charleston SC Sailboat Launching

They launched the big girl this weekend....it's been 7 years in the building. As windy as it was, the SeaCraft got us there and back fine!!

Man, that brings back memories! Reelscape, where in the area do you live? I lived in Navy housing in Goose Creek for 3 years.

Ha, excellent! We really liked living there, if it wasn't for my job we would move back. One day I took a rented 12 foot aluminum skiff on the Cooper River all the way from the Naval Base Submarine School up in Goose Creek to the aircraft carrier museum, I think it's the Lexington? I almost made to Fort Sumter but the bay was a bit rough so I decided not to risk it. Took almost 3 hours for the round trip!

Amazing classic lines on that sailboat. reelescape1-Are you catching a ride on that to Bermuda this Spring??? Closest I get to your area is Savannah. Brother with a Grady White lives on Wilmington Island. He does that 70 plus mile fishing trip off shore regularly

Happy B-Day young man!!! Bermuda will be on one 100' less....just a 42'! But we will be partying on the 42' in Sav. for St. Patty's Day....with a couple of thousand others! The offshore run from here is a looong way too...Jupiter Fla. is much nicer!!

reelescape1-Thanks man. Hoist a green beer for me when your partying down in Savannah. I keep trying to get Dave (bro) to relocate. After he quit @ Gulfstream he now commutes to Bombardier's headquarters in Canada, so Jupiter would be just an hour or so longer commute Your going to have a blast on that sailboat. Hope to see you down in Jupiter........
