Got some more work done today, the second picture is what my transom use to look like(wood, filler, fiberglass). I also found some 1" cracks on the top of the outer skin where the angle meets the rest of the boat. For mounting the plywood I'm going to glass a traingle foam corner on the three sides after I dig out some of the old foam so that I can attach it easily to the rest of the transom. Then I'll shape the wood accordingly and glass the rest of it in. I'm also going to put 2 knees in the splashwell that will hopefully help with some support. Any other ideas?

These pictures were takin tonight after I put on a layer of glass. Before hand I took out all of the grey filler/putty and I also took about 4 inches inward of foam out that was water logged. Next I will drill a couple of holes and pour foam and allow it to fill in and come out of the holes. Then I will put another layer of glass on the inner skin.

Now I am done with the inner skin except for the knee in the center of the scupper area and the build up on the outside 2 corners of the inner skin. Now where there is an out ward peice of the hull on the last picture, I will bring mat and cloth from the inside then around and attach it to the inside of the inner skin (making a triangle). Then I will bring mat and cloth around from the outisde of the hull and follow the triangle to the inner skin (both sides and the bottom). Next I will pour in the expandable foam and let it dry then cap it. This method allows me to fiberglass the inside of the hull and hopefully add more strength too.

The hole is for the bilge pump along with the saltwater pick that will be plumbed underneath the deck. The hole consist of, going from bottom to top: hull, 2" space, 1/4 fiberglass, 18" of foam(soaking wet), wood enclosed in fiberglass for the deck.

The first piece of marine plywood went on with thicken epoxy over the 1.5 mat that i put on last night. I used a groved trool which I think will help with an even layer through out.

If you don't know already - get a 1 gallon jug of white vinegar ($1.50)from the supermarket to clean hands, tools etc. Does a great job!
