Hull serial numbers
Where would the hull number be located on a 1969 20CC? Any help appreciated. I'm still looking for mine.

Re: Hull serial numbers
I could be wrong but I don't think that the coast guard & others required hull ID's until the early to mid 1970's.
My 1978 SeaCraft has a hull ID on the transom. My 1972 SeaCraft does not. If you need a hull ID, you should find it on your title.

Re: Hull serial numbers
Yes, you should have an NJ issued HIN on your title and a self stick plate for the boat. If you don't you'll need to contact your local NJ state marine police and have an expection and be able to prove clear title back threw to years (kind of like a real estate title search). It's a pain in the you know what. Fortunately my '72 had it done when I bought it, but I've been threw the process with other boats.
Good luck.

Re: Hull serial numbers
Here is a shot (hopefully) of the original ID Plate inside the motorwell of my '69 CC. When I rebuilt my transom last year I decided to keep it for "authenticity" purposes.

Re: Hull serial numbers
Thank you all for the help, I think I'm going to have to pay the $25 for inspection and to have certified that my boat doesn't have one.
