Default plastic fuel tank source

I'm redoing a 69 20 ft, putting tank under deck. Does anyone know of a source for a tank no more than 22" wide (between stringers)and no more than 11" deep (including dog box) that will hold 50 gal (or more)? Length should not be an issue. thanks

I have one I bought several years ago, I believe it is exactly 50 gallons, the tank measures 18.25 Wide x 9.5 tall x 73.0 inches long. The maximum height is 11.0 inches exactly (To the top of the fill port). I bought it for my 20' Master Angler, but it was too tall for the custom made gas tank well (They told me it was 9.5", never mentioned the fill port). I had a 68 Gallon Aluminum one made instead. It has never been used, it has twin pickups, fuel gauge, 1.5" fill
and a 5/8" vent . If you happen to be in the Massachusetts area you can check it out. It cost me over 150.00 bucks, I would be happy to get 100.00 for it.

Thanks, I may be interested if another source from a manufacturer in TN doesn't work out. I live in SC. Your's actually sounds a little better dimensionally. Taller and shorter. But if I don't buy it, I bet someone will. I think this is a common problem if you want a plastic tank since anything but the standard ones are hard to come by.

Way I'm doing mine is to replace the keel. Embedded a new 2 by 4 in epoxy, made fillets and glassed over it. Then I will embed epoxied plywood on top of the keel and to the inside of the hull for a nice bed. Will camber the deck a little. We'll see how it comes out. My boat's name is "Sea What Happens" and that pretty much summarizes my whole attitude here!

You may want to put it in the for sale section of this board. Like I said, I believe it will fit in boats with raised decks.

Dan, If that tank is still available, I'd like to purchase it. I'm on the south shore (MA) and actually went right by your house yesterday to fish Chatham....
If you have a second, email me at sabrownell2004@yahoo.com or PM me via the site.

sorry to derail the thread here....

No worry. Hope the tank finds a home. I know what a pain this is.
