Default Gelcoat or Awlgrip?

I need to paint the deck of my 18ft 1987 CSY. What is a better product to use?(gelcoat or awlgrip). Did you use the pumice non-skid or the poly bead texture? Thanks!

For the use my boat will see I preferred the Awlgrip with Griptex spinkled between sprayed coats. So far no complaints.

Looks like you did a very nice job ! I'm redoing my decks and was going to ask about painting them versus the gelcoat it used to have and how to non-skid them .

Does anyone have any long term experience with Alwgrip on a deck surface ? I'm curious how it compares to gelcoat for durability ? Does it stay looking good as long as gelcoat ? Are there any tricks one should know before shooting it ?

If it's durable and comes out looking as nice as DTMackeys I'd be a happy camper :P !
