If it is an automatic you might want to make sure you have a (big) transmision cooler...not familar with the Ford but most people recommend no overdrive while towing as well.

No overdrive while towing is a must regardless of the make/model, but having owned an F150 myself I know Ford recommends turning off OD when towing.
