Default 1988 18' center Console

I am considering buying this boat but I am hesitant based on some comments on the Tracker built boats of that era. The boat is in good solid condition for what I consider a good price. Any opinions before I pull the trigger would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Having owned a 1990 tracker built 18 for one year now with no serious issues I would say buy it if it is as described. The later 18' boats have an improved stern layout without the doors at deck level.

thanks for the input, how does the boat do in near shore conditions? Also what size gas tank did these boats come with just curious about the range, the boat has a Yamaha 115 on the back same year as the boat.

My tank holds 47 gallons. It handles the seas a as well as any 18' boat can. 115 hp should move it fine.

Jose, I habe a 1987 18' CSI built. This boat was made in the last month before they went to Tracker. I love my boat. I routinely take mine out as far as 24 miles on the west coast of Florida with no problem. I pick my days to do this. This is as dry of a boat as I have ever ridden in. It is powered by a Mercury Optimax 135XL and it pushes it along at 40mph. I have never taken my tank all the down to empty, but I believe it holds 60 gallons. My only complaint is that I wish I had a 23. This would allow me to get out a little farther. Maybe some day! Buy the boat if you think it looks good.
