Any help welcomed (alien modifications?)
These pics are below deck facing aft. I removed a chunk of iron wrapped in glass...I thought it was ballast or a continuation of the main stringer or maybe a mottor mount. The starboard side is still intact. I plan on removing them as they look like they were not factory installed and they ar lose...not to mention they weigh over 200 lbs or so (each).

Re: Any help welcomed (alien modifications?)
My best guess is that someone attempted their own steel motor mount. The round things with the bolts in them look like fluid filled in hull transducer mounts. Someone went thru a whole lotta trouble to make those. Grind them out, I doub't they are useable anymore.

Re: Any help welcomed (alien modifications?)
Maybe at one time this hull was used for commercial fishing or underwater wreck exploration of some sort. Those steel beams may have had those big electric bandit type reels bolted to them. The other thru hull deals might have housed those deep drop 5,000 + foot transducers or some sort of sonar maping equipment
