Default Re: cabin hatch

Welcome to a great site, with lots of good info and knowledgeable helpful people.I'm doing over a 74 Tsunami I/O,,and am getting closer to the cuddy area, and may be fabricating a new hatch.

The hatch in mine is pretty beat up,and may need major work,so i may be fabricating a new one.I may have the old one available,if it works that way, your welcome to it.

Where in R.I.are you located,I'm probably not that far away from you,as i'm in Ma.

If i can help,or supply any info, feel free to pm me.Good luck with your project, how much work does it need? Bought my Tsunami last november, and thought i would be farther along at this point, but one problem seems to always lead to another.

Thanks John, just purchased mine about a month ago...just needed a little wiring work to get underway. The boat was repowered (I/O) in the early 90's and is in great condition. Need to recore the forward deck hatch (someone cut it in half) and around the front of the engine hatch/livewell area.

this site was a big help in my decision to purchase the boat and has given me a list of projects a mile long to work on over the winter. Right now I have been out chasing the tuna...fish first/fix the cosmetics later.

I found another tusnuami/sceptre at a nearby marina and it turns out it belongs to a family friend (small world). gonna see if I can borrow his hatch over the winter to figure it out. Hoping I could find one in tact to just drop it on the boat...but from what I have read on this site the original design is far from flawless. I'll keep you posted on what I come up with.

I am located in Pt.Judith RI

Thanks, Jeff
