thanks for the help boat is in cape may, real nice boat broker owns it and seems a bit of a scammer. With the exception of the spider cracks and the shotty repair jobs and a bad repair job on the hull under the trailer hook in front where someone smashed it into the dock the boat is fine. solid deck, real clean. only thing im worried about is engine he bought a trade in from a yamaha dealer and hasnt put more than 50hrs on it but he doesnt know how many where onit when i bought it and he is firm at 13 for a 34 year old hull with a 6 yrs old engine? bit nervous to pull trigger on this buy

In that area, you may be able to find a member who would go look at it with you. You could also make an open ended offer in case he changes his mind come Nov/Dec and decides he'd rather take your price than keep sitting on it all winter.

Not too bad sounding, check compression and lower unit for water but those were good motors. Just break down the deal in pieces, whats a trailer like that worth on the open market- whats the motor listed at on NADA.com and price the hull- add it up and make an offer. You figure the hull by doing the same to many boats that have sold on here, just break it apart makes much easier.
