Wait a bit if you can. Suzuki is coming out with a DF350 V8 in mid '08. It's over 800 lbs, though.
Evinrude is also scheduled to make it's eTec MFE 200 hp diesel /gas/JP multi-fuel outboard available to the public in late '08, or early '09. They're about 480 lbs each. The catch is the price - $23K each.
