Default Long Island NY 23 1974 tsunami

Just purchased my seacraft today. getting shipped from Cape May NJ the end of the week. Want to know if anyone in the long island area knows of places for glass work, cabin cushions, canvas and combing bolsters things like that. Any places to go to in our area for things that do good work. Also a window guy I would like to either replace the glass and paint the aluminum black or just have an entirely new winshield constructed. get back to me this sight is great look forward to chatting with you guys

Hey fellow Long Islander.

Where from the Island are you. I run my Grady from Jones Inlet/Baldwin Harbor.

Nice rig you got there. What plans do you have for her ? I can recommend some good places around here. Do you need Glass supplies, or do you want somebody to do the actual work. If you want work done I highly recommend Raybo Marine of Lindenhurst. His work is impeccable. I did all the work to restore my 20 Sea Craft but I'm going to have Raybo paint her in about 2 weeks time.

Anyway, its always nice to have a fellow Long Islander here.

Alex

I'll second the reccomnedation for Raybo. Great work, great value and great service.

What shape is your windshield in now? I would suggest contacting these guys or having whoever does the work contact them.

A full replacement is in the $2-$3k range. but they should be able to provide gaskets and replacement glass should you prefer to restore what you have. If you can swing it, I'd go for the replacement. Mine was repainted shortly before I bought it and it hasn't held up well.
