KBay, this is the other half of 65 bowrider. To answer your first question, no we didn't try a 17" as you will loss approx. 200 RPM. C J is the name of the boat we restored and with the 115 E-Tec we get with 3 people and 3/4 tank with fuel we got 37.7 mph per GPS (that was with carla, capt. chuck and myself). As far as fuel economy I would say it is very good, because it seems to go forever. As far as gothchas, you will need the dealer to program the engine. Otherwise we had the dealer install the engine.
